For additions and larger remodels, we start with a design agreement that allows our team to develop detailed plans and realistic budgets before construction begins.
Typical design costs for a room addition start around $3,000 and often range from $4,200–$6,200, depending on the size and complexity of your project.
What’s included in your design phase:
• Professional in-house drawings and planning aligned with your budget
• Revisions to fine-tune layout and details
• A clear, build-ready plan for permitting and construction
This step ensures your vision, design, and investment are all aligned before the first hammer swings.
Once plans are finalized, we follow a milestone-based payment schedule tied to visible progress (for example: deposit → framing → rough-ins → finishes → final walkthrough).
This keeps payments predictable and ensures you only pay as work is completed.
Accepted Payment Methods:
• Bank or cashier’s check
• ACH / bank transfer
• Major credit cards (processing fee may apply)
• Construction loan or HELOC draws
If you’d like to use another payment method, we’re happy to include it in your agreement.
Many of our clients choose flexible financing options to make their remodeling dreams possible. Here are a few common choices:
• HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit): A popular choice for kitchens, baths, and additions — lets you draw and repay as needed.
• Home Improvement / Construction Loans: Fixed-term loans available through most banks and credit unions; we can supply all necessary documentation for your lender.
• Cash + Design Financing: Some clients pay design fees up front, then finance the construction once plans and estimates are complete.
We’re happy to coordinate directly with your lender by providing signed proposals, draw schedules, insurance certificates, and W-9s.
Your final investment depends on several factors:
• Scope & complexity: Additions, structural changes, and custom design details
• Materials: Cabinetry, tile, countertops, windows, fixtures, and finishes
• Site & permitting: Local code requirements, inspections, and access conditions
• Timeline: Lead times for materials or specialty trades
